This bill would restore the review process of the Montana Environmental Policy Act so that when agencies conduct environmental impact statements they can analyze and disclose to the public the environmental impacts that may occur beyond Montana’s borders.

Phillips to reinstate the requirement that an environmental review under the Montana Environmental Policy Act should include the examination of impacts beyond Montana’s borders. State agencies should be required to analyze interstate and out-of-state environmental impacts because economic, social, and environmental impacts do not stop at state lines.
